I’ve been a big fan of Stacey Karen Robinson’s work for a longtime, so it’s great to have her with this Sunday for our service on THE FOOL. Stacey is a performer and playwright. Her solo show, Quiet Frenzy, is published in solo/black/woman: scripts, interviews, and essays (Northwestern University Press, 2013). She has performed Quiet Frenzy at: JACK, The Warfield Center for African & African American Studies, Northwestern University, and the Wild Project. She performed excerpts of Quiet Frenzy at Dixon Place and The Pillsbury House Theatre. She is a recipient of the 2009 BRIO (Bronx Recognizes Its Own) Award in Playwriting from the Bronx Council on the Arts. Other plays include: a solo show, Deja and the January River and a short play, Wounded Heart.
Stacey’s a special performer – you’ll be happy to see her.
