We have a wonderful accordionist playing for us for STARDUST, our first evening service ever–this Sunday, December 20th at Judson Church–in honor of the winter solstice. Charley Layton and his wife Rachel Boyadjis are strong members of our community and, they’re both performers who work in the world of circus and burlesque. Charley plays the accordion and has a beautiful arrangement of Stardust, the Hoagy Carmichael standard. He’ll be performing for us, along with two singers–so excited to hear those opening strains of that beautiful song on accordion.
Here’s Charley’s bio:
Charley Layton is an accordionist whose recent theatrical credits include Ziegfeld’s Midnight Frolic, Speakeasy Dollhouse, Bathtub Jen and the Henchmen, and The NYC Poetry Brothel (which he hosts).
